Three years ago, Audi fired one of the opening volleys in the emerging compact, entry-level luxury sedan segment with the then-new A3. Since then, the family has grown to include a plug-in hybrid, a Cabriolet, S3, and soon, an RS3. But the biggest update—an early mid-cycle refresh—wasn’t something we expected so soon.
Given the pace in which Audi has been updating its lineup, however, this comes as little surprise to us. Like these other updated models, like the A4 and A6, the A3 now features a larger grille, more angular overall appearance. New features include Virtual Cockpit as an option, a new seven-speed automatic transmission, and a host of interior upgrades. Check out the clip above for a more in-depth look at the redesigned A3!
