The latest addition to the A4's engine lineup, the Ultra iteration promises to be one of its more popular. Motivated by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder, the Ultra makes a healthy 190 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque. It receives a seven-speed automated manual transmission as standard and is only offered with front-wheel drive.
Improved fuel economy is the real draw of the Ultra, however. Estimated to achieve 31 mpg combined (27 city/37 highway), the A4 Ultra provides a great mix of fun and frugality.
