50 Years of Automotive Excellence: Audi Recently Celebrates its 50th Year in the United States

Audi recently celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in the U.S. market at the New York International Auto Show. Audi first came to the United States of America in 1969 with the Audi 100.

Audi celebrated by showing off the entire lineup, which includes the 2019 Audi TT RS, 2020 Audi R8, and 2019 Audi Q3. The new Audi e-tron all-electric SUV made quite an appearance as well.

Audi has become a household name for automotive excellence over the years, thanks to popular models like the Audi A4, Audi Q5 SUV, the Audi A8, and the Audi R8. Audi brought us the first full-time all-wheel-drive passenger vehicle, the Audi Ur quattro® in 1982.

They've also brought us the first car with all LED lights (Audi R8 V10), one of the first self-driving race cars (Audi RS7 Concept Car), and the first Vehicle-to-Infrastructure system in the country.

With their rich history of innovation and motorsport excellence, there's been a lot to love about Audi in the last five decades. We can't wait to see what exciting new technologies, achievements, and advancements the next fifty years of Audi will bring us!
