When a beloved model is up for rejuvenation, no matter how small of large, there is a general sense of trepidation among the fans. The Audi R8 has been no different, but the Audi showcase at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show should put all those concerns to rest. The next generation of the halo car from the German lords of the interlocked rings, flaunts many different ways to find automotive bliss. For the track racers, the R8 LMS will provide a means to dominate the competition, and for drivers off the track, there are three different options, each capable of immense power.
Gone is the V8 option which was overshadowed once the V10 was introduced to the model, now drivers choose between the V10, V10 Plus, and the R8 E-Tron. The E-Tron is perhaps the most notable of these models, a fully-electric offering with the spirit of a most formidable sports car. The two rear-mounted electric motors deliver 456-horsepower to all four wheels, along with 679 pound-feet of torque, thanks to a newly-developed Quattro AWD technology.
